My poor little siamese

Question
Hi, I noticed today that while I was on the phone, my back door was open and my 1 year old male Siamese had gotten out. He isn't neutered. I found him in the front yard meowing like I had never seen (he is very vocal). He hissed when I came near him and when I finally picked him up and put him in the house, he just wasn't himself. He couldn't stay away from the back door, and he kept meowing, but like usual now. I put him in a room alone to let him "chill Out" for a bit. My question is I know I should get him neutered, but will he EVER be the same if I do?

Answer
Hello Heidi!
Actually, he will be a much better pet once he is neutered. He will no longer have the urge to want to go after female cats in heat, and he will not become agressive as many whole male cats do. Although he may still want to go outside at first, he won't howl at the door. As far as a change in personality, I think it makes them much sweeter.  I have two male Siamese that are neutered, and they are absolutley love bugs.  You really need to have him fixed soon.  If he starts to spray, he may not stop, and believe me, that is a really foul smell.

God Bless,
Becky
