Question
I have a small yorkie that was smashed in a sliding glass door. Its wasn't hard but enough for her to yelp. She has acted fine up until the next day when she started to show red blood in her stool. She is eating, drinking and playing fine. she doesn't seem to have any other problems. Could the door be causing the issue and what should we do?

Answer
Hi Kelly
You should really get to the vet as the door could have damaged her kidneys or intestines, causing a rupture or other damage.  Anything like this could be life-threatening, so it is in your girl's best interest to get her checked out, and possibly X-Rayed.  She could be in a lot of pain - dogs are very good at disguising pain especially when food and play are at stake.
I do hope this helps you.
Silva.
