Question
Hello,  We just found out that our English Bulldog (approx. 3 yrs old)is in the very high stages of Valley Fever.  We had no idea until she began losing weight rapidly.  We really hate to have to put her down.  Are there any alternative medicines or treatments that we might be able to try?

Answer
Hi Amber
Below here is a link to an article on Valley Fever in Dogs and what it means, what the vet may prescribe and what natural alternatives there are also:

My understanding is that unless the bacteria has moved from the lungs and has now entered the brain and other organs, that there is every reason to believe that recovery is possible.
She really needs her immune system boosted above all else.  You may like to contact herbalist Robert McDowell and ask him to make up a blend for the disease.  You can e-mail him to specify what you want to treat.  Your girl would probably need to be on the herbal blend for at least 3-6 months to clear it out of her system and boost her immunity.

Another product that would be beneficial in boosting immunity is Herbal Compound tablets available from:
www.naturalrearing.com
Go to "products" then click on "N.R. Original Herbal Formulas (Juliette de Bairacli Levy's)".  Then scroll down till you find the Herbal Compound tablets.  These are brilliant for keeping infections and parasites at bay.

But I would begin with one of Robert's treatments, and then add the Herbal compound.  Just advise Robert that you want to use the Herbal Compound also so he is aware of any contradictory ingredients.

I do hope that this is helpful, and I feel as though your girl should be able to overcome this.  Make sure she is eating a healthy all-natural diet as well.

Many thanks,
Silva.
