Question

Jersey and Joe Pa I have read all of the suggestions you have given other bully parents. I just purchased the NuVet supplements and the Alaskan Salmon Oil. My Jersey Girl has a severe issue with her tail. Not only is it corkscrew it actually is inverted. We found out she had a bad infection, the vet immediatly put her on antibiotics, as you can guess we were in the same situation a few weeks after the antibiotics ended. We were told to use baby wipes (which i do 3x a day) and mediated powder or Desitin. Do you have any other suggestions for us, I value your opinion. Thank you in advance for your help, Jennifer

2. Start cleaning the area daily - BABY wipes and ....( Like you are doing ) And Witch Hazel with a dash of water on a Unscented baby wipe.

Clean the tail area and facial folds with Witch Hazel and water, mixed- Squeeze out excess water and then use in the areas.

Later on, you will be able to just do water on the wipes. ( I LIKE to use Witch Hazel)

Witch Hazel can be found at CVS or Walgreens, Walmart.

USE unscented human baby wipes. ( less expensive than the dog wipes)-

Corn Starch is better than Desetin:
You can also add some corn starch into the folds - to keep them dry. ( Corn starch is great for areas that have Healed)
Johnson & Johnson makes a baby powder that is corn starch. I love that one...!
Place the corn starch Into the tail wrinkle or folds....
JUST place some corn starch on a "q-tip" and pat into a deep fold...
KEEPs them dry.
